Fall High School
Welcome to the 2026 Fall High School Hockey Season! We are excited to strengthen and grow the relationship between SSYHA and our High School hockey program.
Registration for the upcoming season opens on Monday, July 20th and runs through Monday, August 24th. Tryouts will begin on Tuesday, August 25th. Once registration is open, click the button in the box on the right to sign up.

Tryouts
Tryouts will be held on the week of August 24th on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Additional tryouts may be added the following week if necessary. Evaluations will be made by the High School coaching staff with help from SSYHA evaluators.
Practices
Normal practices begin after tryouts are concluded. The High School teams practice in the afternoon from 2:30pm to 3:45pm, Monday through Thursday. The standard schedule is for JV to practice Monday and Wednesday, and Varsity to practice Tuesday and Thursday, though this can be altered at the discretion of the coaches.
Tentative Game Schedules
The tentative HS game schedules are posted below. Please keep in mind that these schedules are subject to change. As of now, both Varsity and JV are scheduled to play between 13 to 16 games for the Fall season. As you can see, we are no longer participating in the CPHL. This schedule will allow more flexibility for those participating in other Fall sports, and also limit travel to 2 weekends as it currently stands.
The last week of practices as of now will be the week of October 26th. The Week of November 2nd is an off week between Fall and Winter seasons, with the CHSAA Winter season beginning the week of November 9th.
General Information
USA Hockey
All players and coaches must be registered with USA Hockey for the 2026-27 season before beginning the SSYHA registration process. To join or renew your membership, please visit USA Hockey using the button below.
Ages and Tuition
High School hockey is open to any player in the area who will be attending 9th through 12th grade this coming school year.
Tuition for both Varsity and JV teams this season will be $1200. New for this season for the HS program, families will be able to apply for financial aid if required. Please see below for more information.
SSYHA Handbook
All SSYHA members, including those registered through the Fall High School program, are expected to familiarize themselves with the SSYHA Handbook. Registered players and parents/guardians of registered players are all required to observe the Code of Conduct as stated in the Handbook. The SSYHA Handbook can be read or downloaded from the Documents and Forms page found through the link below.

SafeSport
In addition to all coaches and volunteers, and players with a 2009 birth year and older are required to take SafeSport training before being added to a roster. This is a USA Hockey requirement and the course is free. Use the link below to access the USA Hockey SafeSport training webpage.
Financial Aid
To apply for financial aid, please submit an application using the link below. All financial aid applications for the High School program must be completed and submitted by August 24th. If you are planning on applying for financial aid, please select the 'Payment Plan' option at checkout of your registration.
