SSYHA Hockey Scholarships

Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association (SSYHA) awards scholarship money to graduating students who have actively participated in the sport of hockey (youth or high school) and have played through their senior year. This year, SSYHA will award two scholarships of $1500.

Students who qualify demonstrate leadership on and off the ice, are dedicated to academic success, and live out the character, code, and values of the association. These students have given back to the association in many ways; through volunteering, modeling teamwork and sportsmanship, and being a positive influence to younger players aspiring to play ice hockey

All senior students are eligible for scholarships, regardless of what school they attend. Scholarship recipients will be announced and recognized at the Steamboat Springs High School Scholarship Night, which this year is May 20th at 6:00pm in the SSHS Auditorium.

To apply for a scholarship, please fill out the application below. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, March 20th. The application process will also include an in-person interview with the SSYHA Board of Directors Scholarship Committee. Interviews will be conducted the week of March 30th.
