Ended the regular season undefeated, this team showed up ready to play for league playoffs! They started the weekend with a 5-2 win over Durango, then kept the momentum into Saturday, defeating Aspen 7-2 and Vail 5-2. This secured them a spot in the Championship game, having gone 3-0 on the weekend so far! On Sunday, they faced Glenwood in the championship game. Because the tournament is double-elimination, Glenwood would have to defeat Steamboat twice to earn the banner. The Championship game started at noon, and ended in defeat for Steamboat in a 4-2 loss. But the weekend wasn't over, and Steamboat wasn't giving up yet! The puck dropped on the second game at 3:00. After a back-and-forth game, Steamboat came out on top with a 7-4 win! This team brings home the banner and secures a spot in the State Championship Tournament in two weeks.
