High School Scholarships

Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association (SSYHA) awards scholarship money to students who have actively participated in the sport of hockey (youth hockey or high school) and have played through their senior year.

SSYHA will award 3 college scholarships at $1,000 each.

Students who qualify demonstrate leadership on and off the ice, are dedicated to academic success, and exhibit a hard work ethic and strong character.  These students have given back to the Association in many ways; through volunteering, modeling teamwork and sportsmanship, and being a positive influence to younger players aspiring to play the “coolest game on the planet”.

The application and instructions for submission can be found on the Naviance site via the High School page.  Watch for e-mails from Danica Moss and Julie Brownell regarding workshops that will help your senior apply for this and many other local scholarships.
